Welcome to the Collinsburg VFC Website

CVFC  STATION 103

The Collinsburg Volunteer Fire Company is located in the small community of Collinsburg, which lies within Rostraver Township in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.  The Collinsburg Volunteer Fire Company is part of the Rostraver Township firefighting units from Rostraver # 1 and the Rostraver Central Volunteer Fire Company.  All three companies within the township have multiple apparatus to provide both fire and rescue services for the residents in Rostraver Township.  This would include residential and commercial structures, one small airport, major rivers, and one interstate highway.

The members of the Collinsburg VFC answer approximately 240 alarms per year.  The majority of these alarms are on mutual aid assignments outside the community of Collinsburg.  Beyond serving the residents of Rostraver Township, the Collinsburg VFC routinely assists the neighboring communities of West Newton, Sutersville, and South Huntingdon, Sewickley, and Elizabeth Townships on various fire and rescue incidents.

The Collinsburg VFC is staffed by approximately fifty dedicated members of the community ranging from ages fourteen, as members of the junior firefighting program, to honorary life members in their seventies.  The dedication proves evident in the weekly training, fund raising, and fire and rescue alarms the company is called upon to perform.
