On Tuesday January 26 fire crews from West Newton, Collinsburg and Turkeytown were alerted to a vehicle accident with injuries in front of 207 North Water Street in West Newton.  Assistant 103 arrived on scene and was advised by West Newton PD that a vehicle had hit a parked car on the street and there were two patients inside the residence.  Medics evaluated both passengers that were in the car and determined they both should be airlifted to a Pittsburgh trauma center.  Rescue 103 took up a position at the LZ at Station 82 while both helicopters landed.   The road was opened a short time later and all units were cleared by command 82.
